Believe What?
(Healthiest Faith-Food)
“I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said”
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Some time ago a well known minister of the Gospel — a man of high public importance — was interviewed by reporters when he came to a large city for a meeting.
The reporters talked with him about a statement he had written saying, “Some people question whether Jesus ever rose from the dead. And it doesn’t really make any difference whether He did or not.”
Beloved, it makes all the difference! It makes all the difference between spiritual death and spiritual life — because Jesus’ rising from the dead is the way you receive eternal life. That’s the only way you were Born-Again —
1. By believing and sowing — that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God —
His Blessing Seed
2. By believing and sowing — that Jesus
died for your sins according
to the Scriptures
3. And yes — by believing and sowing —
that Jesus rose from the dead
and is alive for you
4. By sowing God’s love and Word
You are a Believer that Jesus, The Blessing Seed — Son of God — was raised from the dead by Father God Himself — so that you were set right as right can get with God. You believe in your heart — with all your heart — that you are the righteousness — the love of God. You believe you are made right with God in His Love — you are in right standing with God — through all that Jesus did for you. And you sow with your mouth and your money that His love and Word are Truth!
Paul, in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, says — “The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that He was buried; that He was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that He presented himself alive to Peter, then to His closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of His followers all at the same time, most of them still around (although a few have since died); that He then spent time with James and the rest of those He commissioned to represent Him; and that He finally presented Himself alive to me. It was fitting that I bring up the rear. I don’t deserve to be included in that inner circle, as you well know, having spent all those early years trying my best to stamp God’s church right out of existence” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) (The Message Translation).
This is God sowing His Blessing Truth, His Word, into you! God is sowing to you your healthiest Faith-Food — your Gospel of His Great Love for you at its finest! This is Who Jesus is and who you are — God’s blessing seed of love! And this is just some of the vast blessing seeds of God’s Word that you have from God to represent Jesus alive! It is always up to you and me to sow, to build being God’s best blessing on what we believe — God’s Word!
