I see now it wasn’t because they didn’t have the power, because they did.  Jesus gave power to them in Matthew 10:1!  And they had already been ministering to the sick — casting out devils — with that power.  If they had not been already casting out devils — they would not have asked — “Why could we not cast this one out?”  Your disciples had a big reputation of ministering powerfully to people.

Then Jesus said to them — “Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you’” (Matthew 17:20).

LORD I am noticing something here.  This is an area in which practically the whole Pentecostal, Christian movement has missed it — emphasizing power over everything else.  They have said — “Since we’ve got the power, we can move mountains.”  Well, these disciples had the power, and they couldn’t do it.

Father God, people say — “If nothing happens, it is because we didn’t have the power.”  But LORD, I see now — that having the power is never where the problem is.  This is not a power problem — this is a faith problem, a love problem.  Every failure, every discouragement — is a faith failure — a love failure — because faith works by an attitude of love in belief.

LORD, these disciples had the power.  Jesus clearly said they couldn’t cast the devil out because of their unbelief.   Power never works by unbelief.  Your Great power works by Great faith — and Great faith works by Great love.  Yes LORD, I see now, faith in love gives the power action.  Faith, Great faith (agreement in love, in action with You) — puts Your Great power to work!

LORD God Almighty — thank You — my faith, my love is in You — giving action to Your Great power O God.

My faith, in Your love — puts the power of You O God to work.  Today — I use my faith in love to receive healing — from You LORD.  I use my faith in love to receive Your every Blessing You have for me — spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, socially!
