Listening Versus
Hearing

“When He, the Spirit of truth, is come …
He will show you things to come”

                                                           (John 16:13)
A Christian family friend had three serious marriages and three divorces and one failed relationship in less than twelve years.  Peoples lives were harmed in all these relationships.  One husband was almost killed, and the friend herself was seriously damaged.
Both she and one husband were eventually healed by the hand of God.  When she heard me teaching about listening versus hearing in your spirit, the inward witness, she said — “ROSE, every one of those marriages and that one relationship became mishaps that could have been avoided if I had not only listened to but heard and acted on the inward witness.”  Still people disagreed — “I just can’t understand how all those marriages happened to such a good Christian.
She loves the LORD.”  You see, she had to not only learn to listen to her spirit just the same as you or I had to learn to listen to ours.  But she had to learn to hear what she was listening to.  And hearing means you take action on what you listen to!  People often want to blame God, saying that God brought all these relationships into her life and she messed them up.
But as my Christian friend said to me — “ROSE — if I had listened to and heard the inward witness that something was not just right and would happen badly — I would have acted on waiting and praying.  Instead, I took the attitude — ‘I just can’t take the time to pray — I need a man in my life.’”  Often as we wait on God because we have that inward witness, God shows us how to avoid circumstances that can cause upsets and calamities.
None the less — no moaning and groaning now — the past is the past way gone.  Now, take advantage of opportunities in the present!  Make certain to listen, then hear, then follow — acting on your inward witness you are hearing.

God’s perfect plan is joy, peace, love,
rest — when you —

1. Listen
2. Hear
3. Act
4. Develop
5. Become spirit-conscious
6. Obey God’s Spirit in your spirit
7. Reap the rewards of hearing, acting,
loyally trusting Father God
