Part 1 of 3
Dear One,

Yes!  … “This same Jesus Who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”  Most people overlook the high importance of Jesus’ Ascension (departure from earth) into heaven.

Special celebrations, holidays (holy days) honor His Birth (Christmas) — His physical Death (Good Friday) — His Resurrection (Easter). Little is made of His Ascension.

Beloved — Jesus’ departure from earth into Heaven to sit next to God — was God’s highest moment point of exaltation of Jesus — prior to His now soon return coming back to earth.  Jesus entered God’s Glory.  Jesus Himself described His departure as far better for us than His presence with us.

The disciples were sad about His departure news! Later they realized this great happening.  Luke saw and recorded His departure — His Ascension for you —

“Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said — ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?  This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven’ “          (Acts 1:9-11)

Yes!  Jesus is returning to earth, just as He departed in God’s radiant manifested visible Shekinah Glory cloud — for you.  Jesus’ Shekinah Glory departure was a amazing moment of splendor.  To ascend means “to go up” or “to rise.”  Have you ever wanted to rise up out from anything?

Yes! You can — yes, you have!  When Jesus rose up — sitting down with God — He took you with Him!

This  ascension word used here is with deepest respect to Jesus — with a far deeper, rich — far more specific meaning.  Jesus’ departure goes far beyond the departure of Elijah in a chariot of fire — or Enoch being taken directly into heaven.

Jesus departed in order to sit down right beside Father God — and He departed gloriously to sit you down right next to Him. Yes!  Right now, you are gloriously seated right next to Jesus!  Jesus departed — and Jesus returns!
