Today’s Scripture

“Jesus said — ‘… My concern, you understand, is holiness, not hygiene.  So now you’re clean.  But not every one of you.’ (He knew who was betraying Him. That’s why He said, “Not every one of you.”) After He had finished washing their feet, He took His robe, put it back on, and went back to His place at the table.”  Then He said — “Do you understand what I have done to you?  You address Me as ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master’, and rightly so.  That is what I am.  So if I, the Master and Teacher, washed your feet, you must now wash each other’s feet.  I’ve laid down a pattern for you.  What I’ve done, you do.  I’m only pointing out the obvious.  A servant is never ranked above his master; an employee doesn’t give orders to the employer.  If you understand what I’m telling you, act like it — and live a blessed life”
      (John 13:10-17).

Forgiveness is Done

Dear One,

Beloved — dirty needs cleansing.  Filthy is followed by purity. You can understand Jesus — His forgiveness!  You can live a blessed, blessing, clean life!

Jesus’ forgiving Love-Grace washes your feet — helps you love — helps you wash the feet of those who have hurt you — those you have hurt.  The “done” of forgiveness is Jesus’ foot washing, cleansing, purity forgiveness.  Your love, your forgiving anyone comes when you understand God already loves you, has forgiven you — then you love wild, forgive yourself.  Imagine Jesus washing your feet — forgiving you to be forgiving, to wash the feet of others.  Is it hard to forgive one who hurt you?

Step closer in Father God’s Throne Room — “see” Jesus!  “See” Him going from disciple to disciple washing their feet.  Like Job — your spiritual eye can “see” Him (Job 42)!  Hear the cool waters pouring from Jesus’ hands, splashing their feet!  Hear Jesus’ feet stepping on the floor to the next and the next person!  Keep this loving, forgiveness Image forever in your mind.

Oh but look carefully again — “When He had finished washing their feet …!” Beloved, no one was left out.  Judas, His betrayer, was there!  Jesus gave His traitor Judas, the same attention He gave His most Beloved John!  Jesus washed, caressing the feet of Judas — knowing Judas’ betrayal.  And in just several hours Judas’ forgiven washed feet walked the Roman guards to arrest Jesus, to His Cross.    You might be saying — “Pastor ROSE, I’m not Jesus.”  But Beloved, Jesus is alive in your spirit!

Go back, read John 13:10-17 again.  Was this easy for Jesus?  Yes!  Is this easy for you?  Yes!  This is your forgiving Jesus alive, richly living in you!  God never calls you to do what He has never done! He equips you to do what He has done — to live a blessed, blessing life.  All Forgiveness is forever done as done can get!
