Today’s Scripture
“The fear (respect) of the LORD is the
beginning of knowledge, of wisdom” (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10)
Gone Mad Seven Years Yes, God opposes the proud (James 4:6). Even Nebuchadnezzar, with no one greater, could not boast of his own accomplishments. Nebuchadnezzar became a most inferior creature until he repented — changed his ways. God restored him. Scripture says the fear (respect) of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). As you respect Almighty God — as you agree for Him to lead you — He is the One Who brings His Ways, the vision to pass. Two times God spoke in Daniel 4:25,32 — promising to Nebuchadnezzar in a dream in 570 BC —“You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone He wishes” (25, 32). Then in 570-563 BC Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was fulfilled in insanity for 7 years (Daniel 4:33). Immediately Nebuchadnezzar was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. In 563 BC Nebuchadnezzar repents, praises God, Honors, Glorifies God — “At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. … I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified Him who lives forever” (Daniel 4:34) Have you lived long enough in insane conditions? Insane circumstances spiraling you out of your natural mind, thoughts, physical health, financial blessing. Have you tried to bake your own cake (do things your own way) using rocks, dead bones, horse manure? Have you struggled, suffered long enough? Beloved — God already baked The CAKE! His Cake was done before His creation. Now, respect Him — honor Him — Bless Him by staying seated beside Him eating all you want of His Cake — The Truth! He loves you with all His Heart — He knows that you love Him (1 John 4:19). God wants you to know He already knows you love Him — “Because I first loved you, you love Me” (1 John 4:19). There are no “buts” except the one you sit on — and that butt doesn’t count either! This is The Truth! Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth is — “Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the Scriptural prophecies.” This second — be done with madness! In Jesus’ Name,
